What we do
Everything that keeps a Wisconsin house comfortable
Heating & furnaces
Repair, replacement and installation. High-efficiency gas furnaces sized to the house, not to the old one.
Heating
Air conditioning
Repair, tune-ups and replacement. Ten weeks of real cooling season here, so the math on replacing differs from what you read online.
Cooling
Heat pumps
Cold-climate models that keep working well below freezing, and honest advice about when dual fuel is the better answer and when it is not.
Heat pumps
Ductless mini splits
Carrier & Mitsubishi systems for the addition, the attic conversion, the garage, or the one room that is always wrong.
Ductless
Boilers & hydronic heat
Plenty of shops will not touch a boiler. We will. Cast iron, condensing, radiators and in-floor.
Boilers
Indoor air quality
Filtration, humidity and fresh air. A house built tight for a Wisconsin winter traps everything inside it.

Six things we do differently
We check the power before we blame the equipment
Incoming line voltage in parts of this county sits near the top of the legal range, and it quietly destroys the electronics in modern systems. We measure it. Most contractors never do, which is why some houses go through control boards, compressors, capacitors and communication issues.
The price comes before the work
We diagnose, we quote, you decide. Nothing gets done that you have not already agreed to, and nothing appears on the invoice that was not on the quote.
We size the system to the house
Not to whatever was there before. Oversizing is the most common mistake in this trade and it costs you comfort, efficiency and equipment life all at once.
We will tell you not to buy something
If a repair makes more sense than a replacement, we say so. If a cheaper option does the job, we say that too. Selling you the wrong thing costs us every job after this one.
Two brands, every brand serviced
We install Carrier and Mitsubishi because we know them inside out. We repair whatever you already own, regardless of who put it in.

Questions we get asked most
What HVAC company is located in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin?
Advanced Comfort Systems is a heating and cooling company, locally-owned and operated like a family, based at 1130 Michigan Avenue in Oostburg, Wisconsin, serving Sheboygan County and the surrounding lakeshore since 2008. It is a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealer and has won the Carrier President's Award eight times, most recently in 2025. The company installs Carrier and Mitsubishi equipment and services all major brands. Phone (920) 564-2333.
How long do HVAC systems typically last?
A gas furnace generally lasts 15 to 20 years, central air conditioning 12 to 15, and a well-maintained boiler often 25 to 30. In practice the spread is wide, and maintenance is the biggest single variable. A furnace that gets a tune-up every autumn routinely outlives an identical one that never gets looked at — the failures that end a system's life are usually the small ones nobody caught.
Do you charge to come out and look at a problem?
There is a charge for diagnosing a fault on an existing system, and we tell you what it is when you book. If you go ahead with the repair, it folds into the job. Quoting a replacement system is free — that is a sales visit, not a service call, and you should not pay for it.
Will you work on a system another company installed?
Yes. We install Carrier and Mitsubishi, but we repair and maintain every major brand: Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, Bryant, Amana and the rest. It's not uncommon that the equipment we service was put in by somebody else.
We stock parts for the brands we install, so a repair on another brand may mean ordering a part. When that happens, we’ll tell you upfront and get you back up and running as quickly as we can.
We stand behind the work we do with our own warranty. We can’t honor the original installer’s warranty, though, because that coverage stays with the company that put the system in. If your system is still under warranty from them, it’s worth checking with them first.
What happens if the heat goes out at night or on a weekend?
Regular hours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm, on (920) 564-2333, and after hours the same number reaches our on-call technician. In a hard cold snap every HVAC company in the county is triaging at once, so call as soon as you notice rather than waiting to see whether it sorts itself out overnight.
Do you do plumbing?
No. Advanced Comfort Systems is a heating, cooling and indoor air quality company. The one exception is water heaters, which we do install and service. We also work on boilers and hydronic heating, which use hot water, but that’s heating work, not plumbing. We don’t take on softeners, drains, fixtures or other plumbing jobs.
Do heat pumps actually work in a Wisconsin winter?
Cold-climate heat pumps do, and they keep producing useful heat well below zero — a long way past where the older generation gave up. Whether one is right for your house depends on the house, your existing ductwork and what you pay for gas versus electricity. Sometimes the honest answer is a dual-fuel setup that runs the heat pump most of the winter and hands off to a furnace in the coldest stretch. More on heat pumps here.
How often should a furnace be serviced?
Once a year, in autumn, before you need it. Air conditioning gets the same treatment in spring. A tune-up catches the cheap failures — a dirty flame sensor, a weak capacitor, a clogged condensate line — while they are still tune-up items rather than a no-heat call in January. The Comfort Club covers both visits at $10 off, and we remind you when they are due.
Let's get your house comfortable.
Tell us what the system is doing, roughly how old it is, and where you are. That is usually enough for us to know what we are walking into.
