Here’s Why a Heat Pump Could Be Right for You
Heat pumps have been a staple of the HVAC industry for a while now. Great for both heating and cooling, they work just like your refrigerator or air conditioner: by moving heat energy from one place to another using a refrigerant or compressor. At Advanced Comfort Systems, we specialize in installing these systems—and now, we have the added technology that enables us to better utilize the heat pump process and keep you comfortable. Below, our Carrier® experts share everything you need to know about these systems—and how you can save on adding one to your home. Read on, then call us at 920-564-2333.
The Potential to Save Money
Heat pumps are much more efficient than traditional systems. In HVAC, these units can use energy from either the ground (geothermal) or air rather than generating it themselves. That process means a heat pump can most definitely save you on energy which, in turn, may lead you to saving money, too. Air-source options in particular can solve problems in many situations without breaking the bank. It makes them a great investment when understood, applied, and installed correctly—by the crew here at Advanced Comfort Systems.
And by installing one, you can get more than just savings on energy. You can also save big with:
Other Ways a Heat Pump Benefits You
Different Types of Heat Pumps Are Available
Ductless Mini-Split Systems
Ductless systems are ideal for targeting problem areas such as sunrooms, bedrooms, bonus rooms, offices, garages, and many more. Advanced Comfort can connect the indoor unit (or units) with the outdoor system via small refrigerant pipes—giving you targeted, controlled, zoned comfort. Plus, ductless systems are quiet, efficient, and come in a variety of shapes and sizes.
Ducted Systems
Ducted systems can be installed with ductless units or all on their own. Advanced Comfort has a large range of products in this category, from smaller mini-ducted systems to full-size air handler ones. Though they aren’t as efficient as ductless systems, ducted units can still be very effective and provide high efficiency.
Dual Fuel/Hybrid
Here in the Midwest, the weather can sometimes limit the effectiveness of a full air-source heat pump. That’s where a dual fuel or hybrid system comes in—they combine a gas furnace and an air-source heat pump with an automatic control system. That way, in warmer weather (above 35 degrees), you can utilize a heat pump whenever you like and, when temperatures dip, simply switch over to gas heat.
