Community involvement has always been a top priority for everyone here at Advanced Comfort Systems. This year, owners Jim Blok and Aaron Anger decided to take that commitment one step further by creating a new community initiative, Advanced Comfort Cares. This program is designed to make it easy for both us and our customers to give back to those who need it most—all while helping you save on the Advanced Comfort services you already know and trust. Discover below how this new initiative is a big win for you and our community.
The Beginning of Advanced Comfort Cares
Before Advanced Comfort was founded in 2008, it was known as Schreurs Heating & Air Conditioning. Back then, Jim and Aaron purchased the existing business with plans to make it all their own. In addition to offering the expert heating and cooling service our customers have loved for the past 15 years, they also wanted to make a difference in the community by becoming involved in some way.
Both Jim and Aaron have previously been involved in their communities on a personal level—and both are committed to helping others whenever the opportunity arises. After working with the local Coats for Kids campaign to raise $1500 in donations in 2021, Jim and Aaron realized it made sense for them to tie their community values into their business as well. And they realized they could do it while also finding ways to reward their customers.
AC Cares Initiatives
AC Cares consists of two initiatives. The first benefits the Sheboygan Food Bank. When customers donate two nonperishable food items to an Advanced Comfort team member, they will receive a coupon for $10 off their next service call, which comes in handy when they’re ready to schedule a repair or seasonal maintenance.
The second initiative benefits the Coats for Kids community service campaign. For this one, Advanced Comfort is requesting that customers donate a new children’s coat. In exchange, customers will receive two free media filters or an air purifier filter. And not only that—Carrier® will match the coat donation by contributing a new hat and mittens.
Donation Matching
Another way Advanced Comfort is giving back is by repurposing funds previously allocated to printing and postage for our direct mail campaigns. Instead of your seasonal postcards, we’re donating that money instead—all while matching what you give to organizations with an annual donation of at least $2,000.
More Plans to Come
Advanced Comfort plans to organize more initiatives as community need arises.
