How Advanced Comfort is Making a Difference in Our Community
Before Advanced Comfort was founded in 2008, it was known as Schreurs Heating & Air Conditioning. Back then, new owners Jim Blok and Aaron Anger purchased the existing business with plans to make it all their own. In addition to offering the professional and expert heating and cooling service customers have grown to love over the past 15 years, they also wanted to make a difference in the community by becoming involved in some way.
Both Jim and Aaron have previously been involved their communities on a personal level-and both are committed to helping others whenever the opportunity arises. So, it made sense for them to tie these same values into their business as well-while also finding ways to reward their customers in the process.
The Beginning of Advanced Comfort Cares
This year, Jim and Aaron decided to finally take the plunge and create a new company and community initiative. Called Advanced Comfort Cares, this new program is intended to make community involvement easy and routine for Advanced Comfort customers. Not only does Advanced Comfort Cares help customers give back to those who need it most, it also offers customers additional discounts and savings on the Advanced Comfort services they already use and trust. It’s a win-win for everyone involved.
Advanced Comfort Cares Initiatives
To kick things off, Advanced Comfort Cares has two initiatives in place. The first benefits the Sheboygan Food Bank. When customers donate two nonperishable food items to an Advanced Comfort team member, they will receive a coupon for $10 off their next service call.
The second initiative benefits the Coats for Kids community service campaign. For this one, you can get two free media filters or an air purifier filter with every customer donation of a new children’s coat. In 2021, Advanced Comfort also worked with the local Coats for Kids campaign to raise $1500 in donations.
Donation Matching
Another way Advanced Comfort is doing good is by using funds previously allocated to printing and postage for our advertising postcards for the community. We’re also matching our customers’ donations to organizations we support with an annual donation of at least $2,000.
More Plans to Come
Advanced Comfort plans to organize more initiatives as the community need arises. Follow along by visiting the Advanced Comfort Cares website, where more information will continue to be posted. Your community needs you!
